5th Grade April 15-19th

This week in math we are learning about units of weight and mass. We will also begin learning about percent. We will learn what percent means and begin finding the percent of a number using mental math. In writing we are still writing lots of poems. This week we are doing the 5 Senses, Color, Concrete, and Who-What-When-Where Poems. We are learning poetry vocabulary along with writing these poems. DON’T FORGET that we have Hope of America this Wednesday. In the morning we will be going over to the Marriott Center at BYU to practice. Then we will come back to school and eat our sack lunches. That night, students need to be in their seats at the Marriott Center at 6:15 for the program to start at 7:00 PM.
