Week 32

This week in reading we are talking about synthesizing and metacognition. Students will soon be taking the DRA again, so we will also be reviewing for the DRA. Our spelling this week is Sort 55 i before e except after c. I am giving students 2 weeks to do their homework for this spelling sort so our spelling test will be next Friday. This week we will be taking our SAGE writing test on Wednesday and Friday. This test will be given during reading time in my class. Please make sure that your student is in class so they will not have to make up the test. Please also make sure your student has a good breakfast so they can focus and do their best during the test.

This week in writing we will practice how to take the SAGE test and then will take it later in the week. We are still working on our Porquois Tales and hopefully students will finish their draft this week and be able to start their actual book. Student's finished book is due next Friday.

In math this week we are finishing our last unit. On Wednesday students will take their test for Unit 13. After this, we will start reviewing. Students will take 5 review tests so I can see what we need to review before the end of the year.

In social studies this week we will be finishing our communities as well as presenting them. Students are creating a drawing on Google Drive to make a digital copy of their community map. Also, students will be presenting their Native American Model Homes project. I told students before Spring Break that I would give them a couple extra days to do their project, so my class's project is due on Wednesday, April 16th and Miss Goldsborough's class's project is due on Thursday, April 17th.
