5th Grade Feb 25-Mar 1st

This week in math we are learning how to multiply fractions. We will be learning how to estimate products, multiply fractions and mixed numbers, and learning about division with fractions. In writing we have just taken our DWA. Yea!!!!! Now that we are done preparing for this writing test, we are done writing persuasive essays. We are now working on our State Reports. Students right now are working on their note cards full of notes about their states. Students have been given sheets telling them exactly what information they need and what they need to do for this assignment. I am giving them time everyday in class to work on their note cards. To do this though, students need to be sure that they bring either books about their state, or printed of information from a website about their state. They are going to need at least 3 different sources for their report; this means that students need 3 different books, websites, or a combination of both for their report.
