5th Grade Oct 22-26th

This week in math we are working with factors and divisibility. We are reviewing what prime and composite numbers are as well as learning about prime factorization. We are also learning the Order of Operations (going from left to right in the problem doing parenthesis, multiplication or division, then addition or subtraction). We will also start learning about ordered pairs and graphs. In writing we are reading our Mysteries during class. Students who turned their assignments in on time, Monday, will read their stories this week and listen to their classmates’ stories. Students who did not complete their assignment on time will be finishing their story and other work while we do Author’s chair all week. Your students are invited to bring a flashlight, blanket, and/or pillow to class while we read our Mysteries.
