This week
in Math we are working on division. We are looking at division patterns, using
estimation techniques, and working on thoroughly understanding what division
is. In Writing we are working on our Mystery Unit. Students should have
completed 4 worksheets last week and this week they should have started their
rough draft. Students need to have their rough draft completed by the time we
come back from Fall Break. If they are using their time wisely in class, they
should be able to get most of it done in class this week. If not, they are
going to need to finish this during Fall Break. Next week we will be revising,
editing, and publishing the paper. This is quite a lengthy project. The final
draft should be about 6 pages if it is typed and double space. Please encourage
your student to work hard in class and get the rough draft done by Tuesday
October 16th.
